Another QB Headed Dartmouth's Way

Looking at the roster and the unofficial list of recruits the feeling all along was that Dartmouth might have one more quarterback on the way. Turns out that feeling was right as Twitter is reporting the addition of an intriguing prospect.

Bruce Dixon IV is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound, QB who Tweeted his commitment to Dartmouth HERE.

Dixon, who attends Robinson High School, played last year for the Carolina Pride in Charlotte, NC. From its public Facebook page (LINK) the program explains:
The Carolina Pride is a high school football team made up of homeschooled, private schooled and some public schooled student athletes. Varsity and JV

Dixon is listed on recruiting sites as a "pro style" quarterback but as his highlight video shows, he can pull it down and run as well.

Dixon was listed at 6-6 on a basketball recruiting site when he was playing at Hickory Grove Christian HS a year ago and for Team Charlotte on the AAU circuit. (LINK) He's also listed at a solid 220 pounds by Hudl.

Check him out on the basketball court in this short highlight VIDEO and in an older football highlight VIDEO from when he was at Hickory Grove.
Speaking of Dartmouth quarterbacks, New York Newsday has a piece about the onetime Miami Dolphin starter working turning his attention to tutoring not just young players at his family sports camp but NFL hopefuls at well-regarded trainer Brian Martin's Parabolic Performance center in New Jersey. From the story: (LINK)
"Jay is so cerebral, but he's also got a linebacker's mentality," Martin said. "He's got the intellect, but he's also got a lion inside of him. To me, it's the perfect match. Not only is he good on [grease] board work and film work, but he's also outstanding on the field."
Football Scoop is reporting that former Dartmouth defensive back and assistant coach Joe Scola '07 is leaving his role as director of player development at Kentucky to become the offensive quality control assistant with the San Francisco 49ers.
