Dartmouth will have another running back/slot receiver candidate in the fall as Matthew Shearin of El Cajon Valley east of San Diego announced his decision to go to school in Hanover. Check out a brief mention of his decision HERE.
The 5-foot-7, 160-pound Shearin ran for 1,873 yards and scored 26 touchdowns last fall. Given the timing of his announcement, it's unclear whether he is walking on or was recruited, although his Yahoo page indicates he was offered by Yale. (LINK)
There is a lengthy video of Shearin during a presentation at his school HERE.
Whether Shearin can make an impact on the football field is to be determined, but watching the video he sounds like the kind of person who will make an impact on the school. Click through and be sure to watch the interview at the end.

Speaking of recruits, the Daily North Shore has a story about 6-foot-8 Evan Boudreaux, a blue-chip addition to the Dartmouth basketball program. The piece notes that interest from college coaches began when he heard from the University of Wisconsin shortly after finishing seventh grade. Boudreaux is the son of former Dartmouth basketball and track standout Gail Koziara. (LINK)
