SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEKJordan Washington, Dartmouth (Sr., DB – West Lake California)Blocked a Fordham field goal attempted and returned it 60 yards to the housePut Dartmouth ahead 31-0 in the third quarterHONOR ROLLJosiah Green, Dartmouth DLQ Jones, Dartmouth RB
Columbia wide receiver Bryson Canty was the offensive player of the week, Harvard linebacker Mitchell Gonser was the defensive player of the week and Columbia defensive lineman Keller Patterson was the rookie of the week.
Jones enjoyed a stellar effort in Saturday's 45-13 season-opening win over Fordham, picking up more than 100 all-purpose yards. He began with a 40-yard touchdown run on just the fourth play of the game to set the tone. He added a 19-yard touchdown reception in the final seconds of the first to give Dartmouth a 14-0 lead after one quarter. Jones ended with 86 yards on 16 carries along with one reception for 19 yards. As a team, the Big Green scored their most points in a season opener since 1965.

From the CodeFBClinic Xwitter account: "Our mission is to support defensive line development and instruction." Whatever, here's something it posted yesterday:

Before I forget, Columbia was chosen FCS team of the week by The Analyst after it defeated No. 18 Lafayette by a 31-20 count. From the release (LINK):
Picked last in the Ivy League preseason poll, the Lions never trailed against the Patriot League favorite while successfully kicking off the Jon Poppe coaching era. Chase Goodwin passed for a pair of touchdowns in the first half and Cole Freeman did the same in the second half, with Bryson Canty hauling in one score from each quarterback. Defensive back Hayden McDonald had 10 tackles.
Green Alert Take: I've written this before but one of my favorite sayings is, "When you are sawing away on the fiddle and you happen to hit a couple of notes from a symphony, the trick is to not drop the fiddle." Columbia visits Georgetown this week and the Lions have to make sure they keep the sweet music going. ;-)

As you may recall, I'm a huge fan of Robo, the remote vacuum cleaner that cleans our open floorplan downstairs every day. But I've got to tell you, my appreciation for the thing has only grown in the last few days.
