Yale 24, Columbia 10
Thanks to Ivy League rushing leader Josh Pitsenberger, the Bulldogs are no strangers to having a 100-yard rusher. Against the Lions, they had two as Pitsenberger ran for 132 yards and Willhelm Daal ran for 112, aided by an 81-yard touchdown gallop. Dante Reno added 179 and two touchdowns through the air for Yale.
Columbia, which was penalized 10 times for 100 yards, saw quarterback Chase Goodwin sacked five times while completing 15-of-30 throws for 208 yards and one touchdown.
Yale is now 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League while Columbia dropped to 1-6 and 0-4. The game drew 4,375 to Yale Bowl.
Cornell 20 Princeton 17
The comeback Big Red erased a 14-0 first-quarter deficit to win their third game in a row after an 0-4 start. Quarterback Garrett Bass-Sulpizio threw for a modest 115 yards but had two touchdowns through the air as well as 41 yards and one touchdown on the ground. The Big Red held the Tigers to 51 yards of total offense and no points in the second half while forcing two turnovers.
Cornell improved to 3-4 and 2-2 in the Ivy League before 4,273 at Schoellkopf Field one week after erasing a 11-point deficit in the final four minutes of a two-overtime win against Brown. Princeton, which was just 1-for-12 on third-down conversions, also sits at 3-4 and 2-2. Ethan Clark carried 19 times for 89 yards and a touchdown to lead Princeton.
FRIDAY NIGHT
Penn 28, Brown 21
The Quakers ran for 231 of their 453 total yards and limited Brown to 33 yards on the ground as they improved to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League.
James Murphy completed 31-of-44 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns for the Bears as they fell to 3-4 and 0-4 in the Ivy League before a sparse crowd of 1,458 at Franklin Field.
Trailing 28-18, Brown drove 71 yards to make it a one-touchdown game with 4:19 remaining but never got the ball back. Penn racked up five first downs in a time-consuming, 11-play drive that ended with a kneel-down at the Brown one on the final play of the game.
ELSEWHERE
Central Connecticut 10, LIU 7
There was drama galore in the final minute of the game as the Blue Devils knocked away two passes in the end zone and forced an incompletion on second-and-goal from the one before blocking an 18-yard field goal attempt on the afternoon’s final play as they held on for the win.
Central Connecticut limited LIU to 43 yards of offense in the first half and 236 yards in the game while improving to 6-3 overall and 4-0 in the Northeast Conference. LIU is 3-6 and 1-3 in the NEC. The Arute Field attendance was listed as 2,323.
Richmond 17, Fordham 14
The Rams used a touchdown with 8:18 remaining to pull within three points but couldn’t get beyond their own 33 in the final two possessions while falling to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in the Patriot League. Richmond is now 5-4 overall and 2-3 in its first year in the Patriot League.
The Spiders limited Fordham to 161 yards of total offense with quarterback Gunnar Smith throwing for just 91 yards with two interceptions and the ground game managing just 70 yards. The Rams stayed in the game by blocking two field goal attempts in front of 4,847 in Richmond.

I don't know about you, but I had to ask Siri what time it was this morning. It probably doesn't help that after getting home from Harvard last night we stayed up to watch a replay of the final game of the World Series.
