And from FootballScoop:

NCAA President Charlie Baker divulged that college athletics' top governing body ... will not be governing NIL, if the House Settlement finally passes as expected.

During the Knight Commission's annual spring meeting … Baker told the assembled crowd that college athletics' Power Conferences -- ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC -- would have oversight of implementing the rules of the long-awaited House Settlement -- if the measure is granted final approval. (LINK)

Green Alert Take: If it wasn’t obvious before – and it was – it’s pro football now at that level in all but name.

EXTRA POINT

Mrs. BGA and I drove down to Massachusetts yesterday to have lunch with That Certain Dartmouth 14 and her new husband (first time Ive written that ;-) before they return to Bryce Canyon National Park following their honeymoon in the Azores. Our drive was a revelation about how effective and seamless travel can be in an EV.

We charged the car to 100 percent before we left and although that gave us enough juice to make the full 250-mile trip down and back, we opted to charge at the mall in Salem, N.H. to head off any “range anxiety.” We pulled into the charging area and needed just a minute or so to get the car plugged in and the electricity flowing. While the car was charging we used the bathroom in the mall, and a scant 11 minutes after arriving we were back on our way.

When we got home we still had about 100 miles of range left, thanks to the tremendous charging speed of our new Ioniq 5. Because we harvest electricity at home with our solar tracker, and because we received two full years of free Electrify America charging on the road as part of our car purchase, the only travel expenses we had all day were tolls. Nice!
