I've got to head out now so I have only a few quick links. The "science" of these things is alway debateable, but the Dartmouth athletic program has been highly rated by one study. Here's how Dartmouth wrote it up:
In the fourth annual National Collegiate Scouting Association's (NCSA) Collegiate Power Rankings, Dartmouth placed 20th nationally and third among NCAA Division I-AA schools. The rankings were based on the most recent US News and World Report ranking, the U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup ranking and the NCAA student-athlete graduation rate of each school.
Casey Cramer gets a mention in this story out of the Carolina Panthers' camp. ... The weekly paper in Princeton has stories up on both of the recent Princeton grads trying to make it in the NFL. Read about Jay McCariens' bid to make the Arizona Cardinals here and tight end Jon Dekker's bid at a roster spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers here. I wonder if Dekker was friends with Princeton basketball standout Meghan Cowher, whose father just so happens to coach the Steelers? ...
More later from Princeton.
