College's New Athletics Web Site Debuts

I couldn't find it at first. To access the site, click here.

From my understanding, the initiative to have "live and on-demand streaming video and audio on your computer," was a big reason for the move to a different web company.

The streaming video link doesn't go anywhere at this point (I was hoping to get you the cost) but I clicked around until I found information about streaming here. ... I'm a little worried that those of us in the Cult of the Mac are going to be left out. I tried reading the system requirements but they gave me a headache. I suspect they are going to give a lot of people headaches.

Something I found in the FAQ's that is a little funny: "Upon official announcement from Dartmouth University coaches and administration at Dartmouth University ..."

Green Alert Take: Having just worked up a new version of the Green Alert site, I'm not about to start tossing any stones. A new site is a work in progress and it will always require some adjustment and some getting used to. That said, I can't help but say that as it looks right now, the site is way, way too busy. And I'm absolutely no fan of a page that changes while you are looking at it. I was trying to read something on the front page of the site, and blink, it was gone. Replaced by something else. Several other Ivy pages do that and I remember hoping when I heard Dartmouth was reworking its page that it wouldn't adopt that same style. Oh well.
