Around The Ivy League
The view through an upper deck portal.
The skyline of Philadelphia through one of the arches under the upper deck.
It was a long, rainy drive back from Philly. I-91 was closed northbound in Connecticut because of an accident and that didn't make the trip any more fun. ...
Here's the Philadelphia Inquirer story about Dartmouth-Penn. ... The Manchester Union Leader story is here.
In case you missed them, here are links to yesterday's games featuring Dartmouth opponents:
Princeton 19, Columbia 6
Harvard 35, Lehigh 33
Cornell 23, Albany 21
Rhode Island 28, Brown 21
Yale 37, Lafayette 34
UNH 52, Delaware 49
Holy Cross 28, Fordham 21
Colgate 31, Georgetown 14
The New York Times' Ivy roundup begins with a story about Princeton's win over Columbia that includes this stunning stat: The Tigers had the ball for 40:06 while the Lions had it for 19:54. ... Something else of interest: If you visit that story you'll find hyperlinks for Harvard, Yale and Princeton as well as Columbia. Do you think HYP have a little pull at the Times? There were no hyperlinks for Brown, Penn and Dartmouth (Cornell's game wasn't in the roundup.) ...
Finally, I'm feeling a little better about my picks this week. After taking in the neck last week, I was 7-1 yesterday, missing only on Yale-Lafayette. More about that in tonight's Green Alert follow story.
