Scott Creelman, the president and chief executive of Spalding Sports Worldwide Inc., which manufactures both balls, said in a statement that the company would assist the NBA in its transition back to leather.Did you know that Scott Creelman '64, was captain of the 1963 Dartmouth football team and an All-Ivy League end? He also also pitched for the Big Green baseball team.
``We believe the microfiber composite ball offers many superior characteristics to leather,'' Creelman said. ``However, we firmly support any decision that improves player satisfaction.'
