For a gold mine of statistical information on Dartmouth and the Ivy League, check out the College Football Data Warehouse. I spent a lot of time visiting the site when I was researching the Ivy League chapter I wrote for the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia.
Click away on the Warehouse site and you can find the score, date and location of every Dartmouth game ever played. Plus, you can waste time checking the Big Green's:
- record against all opponents
- yearly record (including point totals for and against)
- championships won (including the New England Intercollegiate Triangular League)
- poll rankings
- bowl history (hint: there isn't one)
- coaching records
- record against all other conferences
- ranking nationally for record and points by decade, by quarter century and all-time
- game facts (50-plus point games for and against, etc.) and season facts (most, fewest wins)
As long as we're in a time-wasting mode, for another look at Andrew Hall's The Catch against Harvard in 2003, you can see the YES footage here.
Every once in awhile someone will send along a link that I find amusing. Here's a link to the sale of the cheesiest unofficial Dartmouth football jersey I've ever seen. Feel free to bid away. ... A lot more classy, authentic and expensive is this throwback jersey from Stall & Dean. There's lots of recreated old stuff from Dartmouth, fellow Ivy schools and other colleges on the site. (Sorry for not putting this link up before the holidays ... oops.)
