Tuesday night finds a tired Dartmouth football coach Buddy Teevens in Herington, Kan., a town of 2,563 (in the 2000 census) about 39 miles southwest of Manhattan. A disagreeable wind, the only rain of his cross country trip and tricky road conditions limited him to about 130 miles on his first full day without riding partner David Shula.
