Apart from those not officially listed as recruits, Green Alert has previously identified and posted links on all the recruits except Matthew Oh. Here's what he's done so far this spring in track, running the 100 and throwing the shot, a nice combination for a linebacker. He was first-team, all-conference. To catch up on any of the others headed to Hanover, go to the top of the blog, type the name in question in the search box and hit return.
A couple of general comments by Coach Buddy Teevens on ...
What he wanted in the class: "Speed and athleticism. That's where the game is going. You get bigger guys who can run. My thought is to get rangier people if possible and build them up over time with weights."
On whether there was a particular need that wasn't met: "No. Our numbers were reduced due to an overage in previous years, so in terms of quantity we weren't as great as we normally were. But we basically hit every position need that we had. We got a kicker but did not bring in a punter. We got linemen on both sides of the football. Linebackers. We wanted to get a bigger running back and we got a couple there. Wide receiver we were looking for speed and got a guy there. (Krattiger is a burner.) A couple other guys will join us as well. Quarterbacks, we got two. They are very athletic guys. We feel like we pretty much hit our needs. We are very pleased with the quality of the guys coming in."
