Find the Worcester Telegram story of yesterday's 41-15 Holy Cross victory over Dartmouth here. ... Crusaders coach Tom Gilmore told the Telegram reporter essentially the same thing he told the out-of-town media in a separate interview:
“I’m very happy because Dartmouth, despite their record, has a good club. This was a big win for us.”
The Ivy League/opponent roundup with a few comments ...

Brown 33, Princeton 24
Turnovers will kill you and Princeton had six in this game -- four lost fumbles and two interceptions. .... Brown QB Mike Dougherty threw for 360 yards.

Pennsylvania 59, Columbia 28
The Quakers appear to have solved their offensive woes after taking a 45-7 lead -- at the half! Either Columbia's graduation losses were more than people realized or opponents have figured out the Lions' unorthodox defense. Or both. Craig Hormann passed for 417 yards for Columbia.

Cornell 17, Colgate 14
Hard to win when your quarterback goes 10-for-30 throwing the ball. ... Cornell got one TD on offense and one on defense. Jordan Scott ran for 110 yards but it took him 33 carries to do it.

Harvard 27, Lafayette 17
Crimson stopped three consecutive drives in the fourth quarter with interceptions, including one returned 91 yards for a touchdown with Harvard clinging to a 20-17 lead. ... Yale gets all the headlines -- and rightfully so -- but if not for a couple of mistakes, Harvard could be undefeated. The Game is at Yale this year and will be even more fun than usual.

Yale 23, Lehigh 7
Ho hum. Mike McLeod broke the school record he set a few weeks ago against Holy Cross by rushing for 276 yards. Yale ran for 421 yards. To quote that TV commercial, These guys are good.

UNH 49, Iona 21
Iona scored its first points late in the first half. UNH was already leading 42-0. The UNH quarterback was 15-for-19 passing. Nothing unusual there except Ricky Santos didn't play.
