USA Today has a big story lauding Chip Kelly, the former UNH offensive coordinator who has reinvigorated the Oregon offense. (This morning's first posting had more on Kelly.) That opposing coaches and defenses have been befuddled by the offense Kelly has designed should surprise no one who has watched UNH over the years.
From the USA Today story:
Chip Kelly, the offensive coordinator, was an assistant coach in Division I-AA last season, about as close to getting into a Bowl Championship Series title game as a guy standing outside a stadium with a "Need 2" sign.
Now?
Dixon is a Heisman Trophy hopeful.
Stewart looks like an All-American.
Kelly is college football's hottest offensive coordinator, shrewdly manipulating the manpower and summoning the spread schemes that have skyrocketed the Oregon Ducks up the college football polls and into your living room.
