The Penn football site confirms Dartmouth's Ivy League opener against the Quakers will be aired on CN8, "which can be seen on local cable systems from the Boston area into the Washington, D.C. region."

Former Dartmouth tight end Casey Cramer had one special teams tackle in the Tennessee Titans' first preseason game of the summer, a 34-13 win over the St. Louis Rams. Find the game stats here.

The latest Green Alert blog poll has closed and Dartmouth fans certainly rose to the occasion. Interesting that every team got a vote except Cornell. Assuming that Dartmouth fans had a vested interest in the results of the poll, it looks as if Harvard is the big favorite with Yale and Brown next in line. I fully expect those teams to be 1-2-3 tomorrow when the Ivy League media poll is release. Of course, I've been wrong before ;-)

Oh, and the rain? It returned with a vengeance yesterday afternoon. There were flash flood warnings for our county and more warnings for heavy thunderstorms. The rain and lightning game in spades. Today's forecast: "Mostly cloudy and cooler with a couple of thunderstorms; additional rain can lead to flooding."
