Some quick hits this morning. There's a note today about the Versus network college football TV schedule in the morning papers and on various websites without the specific schedule being revealed. In case you are wondering the games are (barring a change):
- Oct. 11 - Cornell at Harvard
- Oct. 25 - Dartmouth at Columbia
- Nov. 1 - Brown at Penn
- Nov. 15 - Princeton at Yale
- Nov. 22 - Yale at Harvard
The super-creative Sue Cummings (mom of defensive tackle Rich), over at the Dartmouth Football News & Notes blog, has put together a 2008 schedule for your computer desktop. As she writes, there are, "easy directions and a video tutorial is included to get it as a desktop wallpaper!" Find info on the desktop schedule here. ... And do poke around her site because there's all kinds of neat projects she's worked up the past several years - and even an interview she did a couple years ago with a certain journalist-turned-blogger ;-)
Dartmouth helps open a lot of doors and such is the case for junior Evan Nogay (2007 bio). He won't be with the football program this fall but will instead be interning with West Virginia Senator Jay Rockefeller.
Former Dartmouth quarterback Dan Shula's profile has finally been posted on the University of Miami football page. Shula '06 is a graduate assistant coach with the Hurricanes. On the bio there's mention of Dan's son, Logan, which makes dad David Shula '81, a grandpa and all of us who remember watching his precise pass patterns and soft hands feel a lot older ;-)
