Of JoePa And Jake

There's a New York Times story about Saturday's Penn State-Syracuse game centered around when the regional rivalry ended. Central figures in that development were Joe Paterno and former Dartmouth star/coach Jake Crouthamel, the Syracuse athletic director. You've got to love this quote Jake gave the Times:
"Joe didn’t think very highly of me, and that may be putting it mildly,” Crouthamel said in a telephone interview. “And as a result, I didn’t think very highly of Joe and what he was demanding.”
Preliminary work on the Franklin Field project down at Penn has revealed a surprise. The Daily Pennsylvanian has a story.

This story is for registered users of Scout.com only (I'm not one) but the tease is out there for all of us and it's pretty good. Asked how Casey Cramer is picking up the Miami Dolphins' playbook, coach Tony Sparano said:
“Very well, the guy’s from Dartmouth for God sakes. He’s smart, he knows a lot more than I know right now."
