800 And Counting

With the Penn-Dartmouth game being the record 800th game at Franklin Field, ESPN.com has seen fit to re-post an earlier story about the oldest stadiums in the nation. Find it here.

Gas prices being what they are, and Philadelphia otherwise requiring an overnight, I'll be flying to Philly early in the morning tomorrow to save a few dollars, so keep your fingers crossed that there are no delays. The flight is scheduled to land in Philly at 8:48 a.m., so there's a pretty good cushion.

While I'm in Philadelphia, that certain Hanover High freshman fullback will be in uniform in Plymouth, N.H., lending support (and carrying water bottles) for the varsity football team. Barring a blowout he'll not see any action Saturday but will be back on the field for the first time in two weeks come Monday afternoon. The certain Hanover junior, meanwhile, will be running in the Wood's Trail run in Thetford, Vt. Her team was just ranked No. 6 in the northeast region (stretching down to Pennsylvania) today. It will be interesting to see what happens with those rankings after this race, because the clear No. 1 and No. 2 runners aren't competing.
