Give the starters a breatherThe Manchester Union Leader has a game capsule that notes the success Yale has had recruiting in Dartmouth's New Hampshire backyard. From the story:
Bryan Kana, a 6-foot-4 and 285-pound senior from Bedford and Bishop Guertin, starts at right tackle for Yale. Shebby Swett, a 6-foot-1, 225-pounder from Bow, is listed as the starter at fullback.Whoa now. Wait a minute. There's someone from Greater Metropolitan Downtown Etna on the Yale roster? Womack is 6-foot-6, 255 pounds.
Freshmen Reed Spiller, a defensive lineman from Portsmouth, and Bryan Farris, a quarterback from Pinkerton Academy, are on the roster along with senior tight end (Jackson) Womack, out of Etna and Hanover High School.
And finally, no school in Hanover today so that certain Hanover High junior is on her way to New York City with the cross country team to run tomorrow in the Manhattan College Invitational at legendary Van Cortland Park.
