Donny Brown Moving On

A few short weeks after withdrawing from the search for a new head coach at Yale, UMass coach and former Dartmouth defensive coordinator Don Brown is on the move. He's the new defensive coordinator at Maryland. The Boston Globe has a story.

Former Dartmouth tight end Casey Cramer, recently re-signed by the Tennessee Titans and prepping for the playoffs, is one of the team members, "currently reading the Bible in a year," it says in a quick mention in a story on the site BP Sports, Sports with a spiritual attitude.

The Ivy Football Association dinner is Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Waldorf Astoria. Information and a link to sign up to attend the dinner here. From the Dartmouth Friends of Football:
These events will be preceded by a reception at 5:00 PM sponsored by Dartmouth Athletics and Friends of Dartmouth Football in The Conrad Suite located on the 4th floor of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. There will also be a dessert reception following the dinner.

This year's Dartmouth honoree is Jake Crouthamel and we are hoping for a large turnout of Dartmouth alumni and friends.
And finally, that certain Hanover High School junior was all warmed up and awaiting her leg of the sprint medley at the Dartmouth Relays last night when her teammates lost the baton on the handoff between the first and second leg. That was the end of that race. She's running the mile this morning.

9:45 UPDATE ... That certain Hanover junior finished second of 61 runners by 3/100ths of a second in the unseeded mile this morning, getting outleaned at the finish by a Greek exchange student from the Buffalo area.
