In Case You Missed It ...

If you want to watch a video of the entire Dartmouth-Bucknell game (or even just the second half ;-) it is online and available for free at this link.

Bucknell's highlights (with a few Dartmouth touchdowns sprinkled in) can be seen in this video. It's worth it if for no other reason than to hear the play-by-play announcer shouting, "Who is that masked man?" on one Bucknell TD.

Bucknell quarterback Brandon Wesley was named the Patriot League rookie of the week after completing 15-of-23 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns against Dartmouth. (link)

Tough news for Princeton, which lost inside linebacker Steve Cody for the season with a broken leg against Lehigh. Cody is a senior co-captain and a preseason All-American. Story in the Daily Princetonian.

Harvard quarterback Andrew Hatch won a lot of people over with a 20-for-25 passing performance in Saturday's win over Holy Cross. Among those who came away impressed was wide receiver Levi Richards, who had this to say in the Harvard Crimson:
“He’s just one of those quarterbacks who brings that calming presence into the huddle. You’d walk off a cliff for the guy.”

John Petercuski was a legendary high school coach in Pennsylvania before getting his college coaching career started at Dartmouth. He went on to work at Boston College, Princeton, Harvard, Liberty and with the Cleveland Browns. The 85-year-old "Coach Cuski," was honored with a statue recently at Neshaminy High School. (link)

Speaking of coaches in that part of Pennsylvania, former Dartmouth (and Princeton) assistant Dave Rackovan won his second game in a row in his first year as head coach at Central Bucks South High School as he led the Titans (2-1) to a 51-35 win over Norristown Area last Thursday.

Rackovan went to Princeton when Dartmouth offensive coordinator Roger Hughes became the Tigers' head coach. Hughes is now on the staff of the Omaha Nighthawks of the five-team United Football League. The final UFL team to begin it season, Omaha hosts the Hartford Colonials Friday night.
