A Look at the Opponents

Capsules, stats and thoughts about Saturday games involving Dartmouth opponents ...

Harvard 31, Cornell 17
Crimson runs for 314 yards but leads just 10-3 heading into the fourth quarter behind what would have been their third-team quarterback entering the preseason.

Holy Cross 17, Brown 13
Two Crusader quarterbacks go a combined 31-for-47 for 331 yards and Holy Cross keeps Brown off the board in the second half of a 17-13 come-from-behind win.

Penn 31, Bucknell 10
Winless Bison manage just nine first downs against the Quakers, who racked up a 437-164 advantage in total offense with quarterback Keiffer Garton going 5-for-7 passing in his first action of the year.

Columbia 42, Lafayette 28
Lions rack up 42 points for the second week in a row and Sean Brackett makes it eight TD passes in two games while also running for 105 yards.

Colgate 44, Princeton 10
Greg Sullivan is a super-efficient 14-for-16 for 205 yards and adds 91 yards rushing as the Raiders answer Princeton's early field goal with 44 straight points.

Bryant 25, Sacred Heart 24
Bryan scores final 18 points of the fourth quarter to pull out the win.

Surprisingly, the New Haven Register did not staff Yale's game at Dartmouth yesterday. It has a "staff report" here. ... The official Dartmouth press release on the game is here and the Yale press release is here.
