Don't panic today when you see Tim McManus, Luke Hussey and Matt Oh today. Yeah, they are members of the graduating class, but they aren't graduating. Not yet. They'll all be back for one more term of classes. Oh yeah, and one more football season.*
The Daily Dartmouth Commencement issue has a story about longsnapper Shane Peterlin's pursuit of a career in pro football here. The story notes he has tried out for two UFL teams while he awaits a solution to the NFL labor issue and the opportunity to pursue a free agent contract.*
Working on bios on the incoming freshman football players turned up this information: 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive lineman Jeff Winthrop of St. Paul's School placed fifth in nationals at Lehigh to earn All-America wrestling honors for the second consecutive year.*
The weather forecast for graduation could be better ... but it could be worse. Right now it's gray and windy up here on the mountain but the rain is holding off. It looks as if it is going to be a 50/50 chance everyone (except Conan - see the video) will get wet. Congratulations to all!
