QB Transfer Confirmed

Stopped by the Buddy Teevens football camp at Memorial Field today and snapped a few pictures. Unfortunately, I just missed the one you would have appreciated the most. That would have been of quarterback Alex Park, who redshirted last year at the University of New Hampshire and was at Memorial Field getting a look at his new football home.

The official word is that Park is indeed transferring from UNH to Dartmouth. Because he is transferring from a scholarship to a non-scholarship program he is expected to be eligible this fall, and to have four years of eligibility.

Judging by Park's Twitter feed it would appear he got his release from UNH on May 13 and learned he had been accepted at Dartmouth on June 2.

These are repeats, but find Park's UNH bio here and his highlight video here.

No fewer than 27 members of last year's team were former Dartmouth campers, so you can be sure there were at least a few future Big Green players on the field this week. In fact, the Miami Hurricane recruiting site reported Monday that a rising high school senior ...
... was offered by Dartmouth yesterday. He camped at Brown yesterday and will be at Harvard today. It looks like he may end up at an IVY league school.

BELOW: Scenes from the football camp shot Tuesday afternoon. There were a few "campers" who were getting pretty obvious looks from the Dartmouth coaches. As is usually the case, a number of NESCAC coaches wearing shirts and caps from their schools worked the camp, keeping an eye out for kids who were a step slow or just a little too small to land in the Ivies.
