Here's the Ivy League's 2011 preseason media poll (with first-place votes and total points):
1. Penn (12) 129
2. Harvard (2) 118
3. Yale (1) 95
4. Brown (2) 90
5. Dartmouth 73
6. Columbia 45
7. Cornell 31
7. Princeton 31
The only difference with my prediction was I thought Dartmouth would be fourth and Brown fifth, based on the number of returners the Big Green has this year. The Ivy League media went the other way, which in hindsight should not be a surprise. These polls almost never show much movement from the previous year's standings. This one is no exception. Here are last year's standings:
1. Penn 7-0, 9-1
2. Harvard 5-2, 7-3
2. Yale 5-2, 7-3
2. Brown 5-2, 6-4
5. Dartmouth 3-4, 6-4
6. Columbia 2-5, 4-6
7. Cornell 1-6, 2-8
8. Princeton 0-7, 1-9
