Lake Dallas, Texas quarterback Dalyn Williams has committed to Dartmouth according to Scout, which tags him with a three-star label. Rivals has him as a two-star.
A true dual-threat quarterback, he is listed here with 3,211 passing yards, 31 TDs, 4 ints, 537 rushing yards and seven TDs although the numbers are different on his Be Recruited page. There are more numbers here.
Williams was chosen to the all-state first team and chose Dartmouth over a scholarship offer from Rice according to this story. He also was chosen the district most valuable player. (link)
The Denton Record-Chronicle had an early season story on him
Nice story about him in the Dallas Morning News. From the story:
Williams, who had the build of a linebacker or defensive end, jumped in line with the quarterbacks at one of his first practices. He threw the ball 45 yards on his first attempt. Not quite sure what to make of this from Texas Prep Report:
“He did have a hose,” Males said. “He could just fling it.”
Williams has thrown for 3,356 yards and 32 touchdowns and rushed for 680 yards and 10 touchdowns for 8-3 Lake Dallas. Against Red Oak, he led the team back from a 28-0 deficit, finishing with 424 total yards and four touchdowns.
Williams has a 4.15 GPA in core subjects. Last year, said his dad, Charles Williams, he took AP chemistry, AP physics and AP calculus. Williams finishes school at noon every other day because he’s accumulated so many credits.
3-star Texas QB to DartmouthHe is apparently a talented baseball player and this link suggests he might give it a look in Hanover.
Lake Dallas' Dalyn Williams will dual-sport in New England.

From the Columbia Spectator:Mangurian needs support and patience
Columbia fans should not expect new football head coach Pete Mangurian to immediately make the team a winner.

More on the Patrick Witt/Rhodes controversy from the Yale Daily News.•
And finally, among those at the Dartmouth-Yale women's basketball game Sunday afternoon was football coach Buddy Teevens. Encouraged over the loudspeaker during an intermission (and with a little help from his wife) Teevens rose and participated in the YMCA song. Teevens, by the way, was on crutches, the result of a minor running mishap that wasn't expected to sideline him for long.
