Patterson was chosen last spring both to the South Carolina all-state baseball team and to the state's North-South all-star baseball team after batting well over .400 at James Island High School. For the story that goes with the Post and Courier picture, click here.
Patterson moved into the starting lineup for the Big Green in the fourth game last fall and finished with 24 catches for 301 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 12.5 yards per grab. He came on strong at the end of the season with five catches for 79 yards in Week 8 against Cornell and five more for 48 yards and a touchdown in the finale against Princeton.

In a story about Everett's Jonathan Dibiaso choosing Dartmouth after prepping next fall at Exeter, the Boston Herald quotes the record-setting quarterback:“Their improvements as far as where they’re going as a program, I think they are taking great strides and I think they’re going to be a powerhouse in a couple of years. Coach Teevens and that staff, they’re all great, experienced coaches. They’re putting a lot of money into the football and they want to win. And that’s the main thing that means everything to me. Playing for Everett my whole life, the only thing that really mattered most was winning.”Dibiaso is one of at least three quarterbacks with impressive credentials that have committed to Dartmouth this recruiting cycle, joining Thomas Militello and Dalyn Williams.

Curious about how recruiting works in the Ivy League? Check out this blog written by a father said his son was seriously flirted with, but ultimately spurned by Harvard, and is now headed to Yale. Dartmouth gets a mention.•
This week's noise about the next recruiting class offered a sobering realization here in the world headquarters of Green Alert. When these kids arrive on campus, That Certain Hanover High Grad will be a junior. And when Dibiaso takes his first college snap, she'll be a senior. Where did the time go?•
