Green Powers Through

After a slow start in a game nationally televised by NBC, defending national champion Dartmouth overpowered Florida, 28-0, to cap a perfect day in the USA Sevens Collegiate Rugby Championship in Philadelphia. Combined with a 45-0 win over Delaware and a 31-7 win over Maryland, the Big Green outscored its opponents, 104-7.

Dartmouth plays Wisconsin at 10:12 this morning in the quarterfinals. Should the Big Green win, it will play the winner of heavily favored Cal and Texas in the semis at 2:30.

There is no broadcast of the morning game (follow the Dartmouth rugby twitter feed). The semis will be carried on NBC Sports (the network formerly known as Versus). The championship game will be carried on the full-fledged NBC network at 5:25. (NBC Sports coverage runs from 2-4 p.m., and NBC coverage from 4-6)*
