Our Town

Held not far from our Moose Mountain home on the Hanover Center parade ground just 15 minutes and a world removed from the Dartmouth campus, the wonderfully low-key Hanover Center Old Timer's Fair kicked off Friday night and wrapped up yesterday afternoon. We spent a good part of Saturday wandering through the book sale, standing among the 30 or so folks under the tent at the auction of donated items, catching up with friends and acquaintances and then relaxing under an umbrella watching the different classes of the ox pull. It was one of those gentle June days that reminded me why I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. (Click the photos to enlarge them.)
