In The News

Dartmouth Athletic Director Harry Sheehy and former Treasury secretary Hank Paulson are quoted in a New York Times story  about endowed coaching positions. Paulson, who endowed the Dartmouth football coaching position in the name of Bob Blackman told the paper:
“It was only after I looked back after having spent time in the financial world and the business world that I realized how much I had learned, and so many others had learned from him, in terms of life lessons.”
Find the updated Dartmouth football roster with new heights and weights here. In case you are wondering, the Big Green has four players who top the scales at more than 300 pounds. They are Scotty Whitmore (6-foot-5, 305), John Scheve (6-8, 305), John Hanna (6-4, 320) and Justin Call (6-4, 335).

The lightest? Freshman KJ Booze (5-7) and classmate Victor Williams (5-9) are both listed at 160. Interestingly, both are wide receivers from Oklahoma.
The first double-session of camp is slated for today with the morning practice on Memorial Field and the afternoon practice on the cooler grass of Blackman Field. There will be a story posted on BGA Premium after both practices. The goal in reporting on afternoon practices is to generally have them posted by 10 p.m., but tonight's will be a little later so that I can spend at least a little time at the season-ending pond party for our championship Green Machine Cal Ripken baseball team.
