Four Days And Counting

Ad in Sunday's local daily promoting this week's game

If the Ivy League preseason media poll is an indication, Saturday's game in Hanover between Dartmouth (2-0) and Penn (0-2) is a matchup of two surprise teams:
School (First-place votes)    Points1.  Harvard (13)      132
2.  Penn (2)          111
3.  Cornell (2)       100
4.  Brown              84
5.  Yale               66
6.  Dartmouth          52
7.  Columbia           36
8.  Princeton          31
Keep in mind, however, that Penn being 0-2 isn't exactly unheard of. As the Daily Pennsylvanian writes:
In the 2008, 2009 and 2011 seasons, the Quakers began the year in an 0-2 hole after playing, yes, Lafayette and Villanova.
One of those seasons, the 2009 campaign, ended with an Ivy League championship. The other two saw the Quakers finish near the middle of the pack.
A couple of Penn bloggers debate whether the Quakers have done the right thing working on their passing game the past couple of weeks and what direction their offense should go in the Ivy League.

The Columbia Spectator has a look at the Ivies so far and writes:
The Big Green will rely heavily on its defense, which has yet to allow more than 10 points this season, as it hopes to continue its early success at home against Penn this Saturday.
