Oops. Oops. From the usually trustworthy The Sports Network:The winner of Saturday's Cornell-Dartmouth game will stay in the title race, but the loser will fall two games back of first place. In the first 57 seasons of Ivy football, there's been only one season in which the league champion had more than one loss (1982).Dartmouth, of course, plays Columbia this week. And the Ivy League champion has twice had more than one loss. It happened in both 1963 and 1982, with Dartmouth earning a share each time.
TSN's Ivy League picks:
Dartmouth over Columbia
Harvard over Princeton
Penn over Yale
Cornell over Brown

Somehow USA Today got hold of the Dartmouth kicking tee story from the Yale game. The story winds its way around to the Tyler Varga affair and includes this statement from Robin Harris, executive director of the Ivy League, regarding the issue:"It has come to my attention that a rumor has started and is spreading regarding the source of the information questioning the status of Tyler Varga," said Harris. "While we do not reveal sources of such information, I have decided in this case to issue this email to clarify definitively that Dartmouth, and [Dartmouth head coach Buddy Teevens] specifically, were not the source of this information. Both schools may use my statement to quell the rumors."(The Yale Daily News has a profile of Varga here.)
