Kudos to Penn for posting a 27-page spring football prospectus, even if it is hard to find. Click here to bring up the PDF.

Worth noting is that the Quakers have a ton of offensive firepower back among the fifth years:
  • Quarterback Billy Ragone (finalist for Ivy League offensive player of the year two years ago and honorable mention All-Ivy as QB of the league champions last fall);
  • Tailback Lyle Marsh (Penn's leading rusher last fall and second-team All-Ivy with 1,238 career yards);
  • Tailback Brandon Colavita (former second-team and honorable-mention All-Ivy with 1,416 career yards);
  • Quarterback Ryan Becker (transfer from Florida State who has thrown for 735 yards);
  • Defensive back Sam Chwarzynski (six tackles in finale at Princeton last year).
News could break as early as today about a night game in Hanover this fall. Stay tuned to find out which one.
Oh, and Ivy League basketball writers, listen up. Despite smug references to a "14-game tournament," the Ivy League does not have a basketball tournament. That's why the Ivy season ends tonight with what the rest of the free world would term a meaningless game, instead of a nationally televised championship contest that people would actually watch.
