Through 25 games the former Ivy League Player of the Year is batting .323 with six doubles and five homers. Although he's listed as a shortstop, Lucas also has played second and third this spring. He was an eighth-round draft choice of the Kansas City Royals in 2004.
From a recent story on Lucas:
Third baseman Ed Lucas has had an unreal week at the plate. He went 10 for 23 during the road trip, good for a .435 batting average. The first-year Zephyrs player clobbered three home runs and tallied four of his five RBIs on the season during that stretch.Speaking of baseball, former Dartmouth righthander Kyle Hendricks has a 3.19 ERA and a 1-2 record in six starts with Double-A Tennessee of the Southern League. An eighth-round pick of the Texas Rangers in 2011, Hendricks has struck out 28 and walked just eight in 31 innings. Baseball America ranks him with the best control in the Cubs' farm system.
Catcher Chris O'Dowd '13, a 23rd-round pick of the San Diego Padres in 2012, is batting .250 through his first seven games with Single-A Asheville of the South Atlantic League, a Colorado Rockies affiliate.
Shortsop Joe Sclafani, a 14th-round pick by the Houston Astros in 2012, is batting ..255 with three doubles in 18 games with Quad Cities of the Midwest League.

In what should be a surprise to no one, Dartmouth's Abbey D'Agostino was chosen the Most Outstanding Female Track Athlete at the Heptagonal Track Championships for the second year in a row. D'Agostino broke the 1500 and 3000 meter records two hours apart. Another thing that should surprise no one: Both records she broke were her own. She won the 1500 by more than 13 seconds.
