Thanks to a BGA reader from afar – a resident of Florence, Italy – for sending along a link to the clip above as well as a little more information on the adventures of Shawn Abuhoff '12 in Italy. Fast forward through the clip to about the 2:13 mark to see the former Dartmouth All-American collect a bubble screen and rip it down the field. He also grabs a long TD pass at 3:42 of the game, Milan's IFL semifinal against Bologna.
According to the reader, Abuhoff caught two balls for more than 100 yards, scored a touchdown and made "tons" of tackles against Bologna.
A week earlier Abuhoff posted three interceptions and, get this, stepped in at quarterback when Milan's signalcaller went down. The team flew in a new American for last week's game.
One more thing, and it is hilarious. The Italian Football League website has translated the BGA interview with Shawn Abuhoff into Italian. Find the Italian version here.
The original English version is here.
Your assignment should you choose to accept it: For giggles, translate the Italian back to English with Google translate and then compare the two ;-)
