That's A Wrap

Having written my share of bios over the years I feel pretty confident there's relief in the Dartmouth sports info office that all the player profiles for the 2013 season have been posted ;-).

A highlight purloined directly from each of the last five bios . . .

Sophomore defensive back Josh Winslow . . . contributed to the varsity efforts in every game, mostly on special teams

Junior defensive lineman Jeff Winthrop . . . came up with a season-high three stops . . . at Holy Cross, including one at the line of scrimmage on 3rd-and-2 with less than three minutes to play to force the Crusaders to punt in a tie game that the Big Green went on to win, 13-10

Senior corner Chase Womack . . . sidelined for most of the season with another injury, but battled back to play in the victory at Yale ... even tackled a Bulldog receiver in his limited action

Sophomore defensive end Jake Young . . . had three tackles in the (jayvee) victory over Williams, then brought down five ball carriers against Bridgton Academy, recording a sack in the process

Sophomore defensive tackle AJ Zuttah . . . dropped a season-high four ball handlers at home against Sacred Heart, including two in a row at the line of scrimmage on 3rd- and 4th-and-1 to give the Big Green the ball

Two Ivy Leaguers were chosen to Phil Steele's College Football Preview All-America first team and they were hardly a surprise. In addition to Cornell quarterback Jeff Mathews and Princeton defensive lineman Caraun Reid making the first team, Harvard defensive lineman Zach Hodges was chosen to the second team.
