Be There

Picked this up passing through Alumni Gym the other day . . .

Got your Dartmouth football tickets yet? For information or to order tickets, click here. And no, this isn't a paid announcement ;-). It's just more fun for everyone – the players, the coaches, fans and even the media – with more people in the stands.
Missed this earlier but it's quite an honor for Cornell's Jeff Mathews and the Ivy League that he is one of 30 quarterbacks on the  Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list. He is the only FCS quarterback on the list. Check out the Golden Arm Award website and Mathews is right below Nebraska's Taylor Martinez and right above Michigan State's Andrew Maxwell and Alabama's AJ McCarron.
Just saw these pretty impressive notes on the Penn website regarding this year's media poll, which has the Quakers picked first again:
The Quakers have now been selected among top four of the preseason poll for 21 consecutive seasons. The last time the Quakers were not predicted to finish in the top half of the Ivy League was in 1992, one month prior to the program's first game under the direction of head coach Al Bagnoli.
And . . .
Penn has won three of the last four Ancient Eight titles. All outright. No school has ever won four outright titles in a five-year span.
Opponent previews continue on BGA Premium today with a look at Cornell. Harvard is on tap for tomorrow. Yesterday's look at Columbia concluded with what may be a surprise to a lot of people.

The 2012 subscription cycle will run out with the start of practice next week. If you haven't already renewed don't hesitate because with all the stories that are coming you'll never catch up ;-)
