If the Dartmouth coaches chase down any film of Central Connecticut, their season-opening opponent in 2014, it may not help. The Blue Devils' head coach has resigned. The Hartford Courant says Jeff McInerney had been thinking since last summer about stepping down. From the story:Central won Northeast Conference titles in 2009 (outright) and 2010 (shared) but has declined since. The Blue Devils were 4-7 in 2011, 2-8 in 2012 and 4-8 this past season, which ended Saturday with a 29-16 home loss to Bryant.Central Connecticut results this year:
at James Madison, lost 38-14
at Lehigh, lost 51-44 (ot)
vs. Holy Cross, lost 52-21
at Albany, won 20-17
at Rhode Island, lost 42-7
vs. St. Francis, won 38-29

Speaking of next year, the Big Green's second game will be at the University of New Hampshire. If things had broken a little differently, Dartmouth might have seen the quarterback if faced in the finale against Princeton in Week 2 next year. Yup, the Tigers' Quinn Epperly could have ended up at UNH. There's an old Knoxville Sentinel story about his recruitment, here.As long as we're at it, here's how UNH fared this fall (pending the NCAA playoffs):
at Central Michigan, lost 24-21
vs. Colgate, won 53-23
at Lehigh, lost 34-27
at Towson, lost 44-28
vs. Rhode Island, won 59-19
vs. Villanova, won 29-28
vs. Stony Brook, won 31-13
at William & Mary, lost 17-0
vs. James Madison, won 33-17
