Talley, 43, a seventh-year coach at Stonehill College, led the Skyhawks (8-3) to their first winning season since 1996 and a share of the Northeast-10 Conference title. He was named the New England Football Writers' Division II/III coach of the year and is a finalist for the D-II coach of the year. Talley also holds Boston University's Career tackles record. The Staten Island Advance had a story about the Coach of the Year award.
Two thoughts.
First, Talley's career tackles record at Boston University is unassailable. (BU dropped the sport.)
Second, Talley spent eight years in the Ivy League, with five as a defensive coordinator. Don't be at all surprised if his name is mentioned the next time an Ivy League head coaching position comes up. Check out the comments from one of his players at the Coach of the Year ceremony:

Speaking of Faces in the Crowd, did you happen to catch the error in the Faces piece on Dartmouth runner Abbey D'Agostino?
D'Agostino didn't win by .6 of a second. She won by 3.6 seconds, as the final results show.
