One brief Twitter posting and an email via that link over there on the top of the right-hand column announced the news of tight end Stephen Johnston of Georgetown Prep choosing Dartmouth last week.
Johnston is a ±6-foot-4, ±220-pound tight end/defensive end and long snapper who was an honorable-mention Washington Post All-Met selection last fall. He caught 31 passes for 466 yards (13.7 yards per catch) with four touchdowns according to the Post.
For a picture of Johnston making like Superman, click here. The shot is from a game where he had a 58-yard reception to set up Prep's first touchdown, caught TD throws of 29 and 19 yards, and recovered a fumble.
Find his Hudl page here.

This is kind of a fun thing. The Sports Network has named its NFL All-FCS team and two Ivy League products make the cut. Here's how they are described:
Defensive Tackle - *Desmond Bryant, Cleveland Browns (Harvard): 31 tackles (20 solo), 3.5 sacks, 1 pass defended
Long Snapper - *Zak DeOssie, New York Giants (Brown)
*-2012 NFL All-FCS Selection

It was 13.7 below zero up here on the mountain when I got up this morning. It's probably warmer down in town, although warmer might be the wrong word. Maybe I should say it is less cold down there ;-)
