NFL Shots

The Sports Network list of Ivy Leaguers who are going to get a shot at the NFL looks like this:

Brown
Running back John Spooney - Ravens

Cornell
Quarterback Jeff Mathews - Falcons

Dartmouth
Safety Garrett Waggoner - Lions

Harvard
Tight end Cam Brate - Cardinals
Defensive end Nnamdi Obukwelu - Colts
Longsnapper Tyler Ott - Patriots
Corner Brian Owusu - Chargers
While not all lists of undrafted free agents agree about the who and the where, Harvard has a release confirming the Crimson players who have signed. LINK
A writer for Bleacher Report has this to say about Garrett Waggoner earning an invitation to try out for the Detroit Lions:
Fans can rightfully get excited about Garrett Waggoner's athleticism. The Dartmouth safety didn't get a lot of predraft burn because, well, he played for Dartmouth. But the 6'0", 224-pound prospect with the 39.5" vertical will have to make the roster before he goes about trying to make the team . . .
Waggoner's vertical at the NFL regional combine in Florida was 43 inches.

Football Scoop is reporting that onetime Dartmouth assistant coach Dave Murray is expected to depart Alfred University with a 108-60 career record over 16 seasons to take over as head coach at Hamilton. Murray also served as head coach at Cortland for seven years, and at Lebanon Valley for one. His career record is 152-100-1.
