Depth charts two weeks before the season? Forget about it.
Such is the case in Princeton where reigning Bushnell Cup winner as the Ivy League's offensive player of the year has not been declared the starting quarterback.
The Trentonian has a media day story spun out of the Princeton depth chart HERE under the headline, Despite honors, Princeton hasn't named quarterback Quinn Epperly starter.
By the way, the story includes this about Princeton's season-ending loss at Dartmouth:
By his lofty standards, Epperly had a relatively quiet game against the Big Green, going 27-for-54 with two touchdowns and an interception, plus 41 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
“(Dartmouth) put a lot of guys in the box with low safeties and played smash-mouth football, and we didn’t beat them,” he said. “What they did was obviously effective because we didn’t put up a lot of points, but it’s just about being better about taking shots, starting drives with completions.”
After that disappointment, he went on record to say that the only acceptable result to this season would be a 10-0 finish. He reiterated that sentiment Friday.
Green Alert Take: Barring getting hit by a bus, Epperly will be Princeton's starting quarterback this fall ;-)

Dartmouth will be holding its Green-White scrimmage today at 10 a.m. on Memorial Field. There will be plenty of contact but no tackling. Coach Buddy Teevens said yesterday he hopes to run 50-60 plays but the guess here is they'll run more because they usually do in these things.Check BGA Premium later today for full coverage.
