Got Ya Covered . . . Completely

With the subscription Big Green Insider service (LINK) providing broadcasts of all Dartmouth's home and Ivy League football games, the only outlier from your computer screen (apart from TV blackouts) is the Sept. 27 game at New Hampshire. But you are in luck. As it turns out, the game will be available on UNHwildcatsTV for $9.95. For more information, CLICK HERE.
The Sports Network's picks are in for this week (LINK) and the leading voice of the FCS is picking Week One opponent Central Connecticut State (1-0) to knock off Albany (1-0). Central Connecticut State is coming off an impressive upset at Top-20 Towson while Albany used a 79-yard fumble return for a touchdown to sneak past future Dartmouth opponent Holy Cross. TSN is picking Morgan State (0-1) over Holy Cross (0-1) in the other game featuring a Dartmouth foe. New Hampshire has a bye week after falling to Toledo on Saturday.
After nine practices in eight days, the Dartmouth coaches called off the second part of yesterday's double session and carted the players to Storrs Pond Recreation Area, a stone's throw from campus. Here's a quick video of the action I shot with an iPod touch. BGA Premium has a bunch of photos from the fun break from football.

Practice resumes this afternoon at there will be coverage, as always, tonight on the Premium site.

Dartmouth grad Kyle Hendricks, who improved his record to 6-1 with the Chicago Cubs yesterday, is the National League Rookie of the Month. (LINK)
Dartmouth freshman trips are in full swing, including a number that bring students to the Class of '66 Lodge (LINK) on the shoulder of Moose Mountain, a 10-minute trek out our back door. It always gives us a start to see big coach buses coming up our quiet dirt road to drop students off for the hike in to the cabin. This one was dropping kids at the trailhead a couple of days ago. The BGA world headquarters is about 250 yards behind the bus on the opposite side of the road ;-)
