The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Something

Freshman football players at Dartmouth were bused out to the Dartmouth Skiway Sunday afternoon for a hike up the Appalachian Trail to Holt's Ledge as an abbreviated introduction to the college's legendary outdoor tradition. To be honest, there was a little grumbling about spending the first day off from practice hiking on the way up. There was absolutely no grumbling once the players got out on the ledge and saw the view.

Assistant AD for Leadership Steven Spaulding gives an inspiring talk to the
players in an inspiring location. Be sure to click this photo for a better look.
Before the players headed back down an overgrown ski slope – a challenge in itself – Coach Buddy Teevens filmed them singing As the Backs Go Tearing By. You can see Teevens to the right in this washed out video.
