A note From NextTitle18, a football alum and friend of BGA who is sponsoring contests before each home Dartmouth football game this fall:
The winning pick in this past Saturday's NextTitle18 contest for "How Many Total Yards Will Dartmouth Gain" versus Holy Cross is that of old #72, Lane Shipley '11, whose guess of 361 total yards was only off by 9 from the official yardage of 352 as reported on the College's athletic website. No wonder the kid's an analyst for ESPN. Lane will receive a $100 gift card at Molly's Restaurant in Hanover. Congratulations, Ship!
Finishing just out of the money in 2nd place was Dom Izzo (365), followed with tie for 3rd place by Jon Grove and Bob Peterson (367). In 5th place this week was Tom Goff (333).
NextTitle18's next contest will be a back-to-the-future deal for the next home game on November 1st vs. Harvard. We will return to our original premise of "Guess The Attendance" at the game.
The closest guess will win a $100 gift card to Murphy's Tavern in Hanover.
Should be interesting to see how many folks turn out for what could be a contest against an undefeated Harvard Crimson in what would be a battle for sole possession of the lead in the Ivy title race heading into the far turn of the season.
Stay tuned to these precincts for more info!
