Saturday Wrap

How Dartmouth opponents fared yesterday:

Yale 51, Cornell 13
Recap and links
One week after Tyler Varga ran for five touchdowns, Yale quarterback Morgan Roberts threw for five scores while setting a school completion percentage record. Robert hit 26-of-30 passes (86.6 percent) as the high-octane Yale offense kept clicking. The Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0) are averaging 51.3 points per game. Cornell (0-3, 0-1) managed just 189 yards of total offense. The Big Red's only points until the final minute and change came on a fumble return in the second quarter.

Princeton 38, Columbia 6
Recap and links
Only a 98-yard drive that resulted in a touchdown with no time left allowed Princeton to take a 10-6 lead into halftime. The Tigers (2-1, 1-0) wasted no time waking up in the second half, however, adding another touchdown 43 seconds into a third quarter in which they scored 21 points. Di Andre Atwater carried 11 times for 107 yards while Princeton held Columbia (0-3, 0-1) to 27 yards on the ground. The Lions have lost 14 consecutive games.

Harvard 34, Georgetown 3
Recap and links
Playing once again without its starting quarterback, its starting tailback and its leading wide receiver, the Crimson (3-0, 1-0) racked up 558 yards in an easy win over the Hoyas (2-4). Scott Hosch completed 20-of-25 passes for 293 yards and Andrew Casten ran 19 times for 139 yards and four touchdowns for Harvard, which limited Georgetown to 227 yards.

Brown 20, Rhode Island 13
Recap and links
Brown (1-2, 0-1) held the toothless Rams (0-5) to three yards rushing and 14 first downs while winning for the first time and retaining the Governor's Cup. Brown QB Marcus Fuller completed 20-of-35 passes for 169 yards and one touchdown for Brown, which padded a 17-13 lead with a fourth-quarter drive that kept the ball out of URI hands for nine minutes, and resulted in a 26-yard field goal that gave the Bears the all-important seven-point lead.

Colgate 20, Holy Cross 17

The Crusaders (2-4) lost yet another close one as Colgate (3-2) took its first lead on a touchdown with 11:21 to play in the game and then picked off a Pete Pujals pass at the Raider 5 with 7:35 remaining. Colgate then held the ball for 15 plays to run out the clock.

New Hampshire 48, Elon 14
