Yale News

Yale's game notes for Saturday's game against Dartmouth have been posted HERE.
The Yale Daily News has a look at Bulldog quarterback Morgan Roberts, a transfer from Clemson, who told the paper (LINK):
“I ended up transferring because of the cutthroat community of these big schools in the (Football Bowl Subdivision). It’s still a business — there’s no doubt that Yale is a business — but Coach Reno and the coaching staff have done a great job making this environment so family-orientated."
The paper points out that Roberts leads the Ivy League in touchdown passes (10), completions (80) and passing yards (978).

For perspective, Dartmouth's Dalyn Williams is second in TD passes with five. He has 39 completions for 431 yards.

Harvard's Scott Hosch -- playing because starter Connor Hempel is injured -- leads Ivy League starting quarterbacks with 73.2 percent completions. Roberts is next with 72.7. Roberts and Hosch are 1-2 in passing efficiency.
The Yale Daily also writes about the team's high-powered offense with this caveat (LINK):
... (T)his year’s start is reminiscent of the beginning of the 2013 season, in which the Bulldogs also won their first three games before falling to 5-5 on the year. The question still remains whether or not the team can sustain its early success through its final game at Harvard on Nov. 22.
The Gridiron Power Index takes 10 ranking services and synthesize them into one ranking not unlike the old BCS. The first GPI of the fall is out and here's how it ranks the Ivy League and Dartmouth opponents (LINK):

From the sponsor of the NextTitle18 contests:
The winner of NextTitle18's "Guess the Time of Dartmouth's First Touchdown" is none other than Paul Ettari.
The Big Green's first TD came with 2:08 showing on the game clock -- Paul's guess was that the clock would read "2:34", leaving Paul only 26 ticks from perfection!
Paul took very much of a contrarian approach, as the vast majority of submitted guesses had Dartmouth scoring early in the contest (with one entry even picking Dartmouth to return the opening kickoff for a TD).
A gift card for $100 to Hanover's Canoe Club is on its way from NextTitle18 -- congrats, Paul!
And stay tuned for our next contest here in the run-up to the Homecoming game next week versus Holy Cross!
