Dartmouth tailback Kyle Bramble and offensive linemen Jacob Flores and Ben Spiritos have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District I football team for their work in the classroom as well as on the field. Find a Dartmouth release HERE.
Dartmouth had three of the six Ivy League players named to the district team, which features players from throughout New England and New York State. Find the full District I team HERE.
Head coach Buddy Teevens quoted on BGA Premium last night:
“Kudos to those guys. We take a lot of pride in having success on and off the field. We had 93 A's today with our A-day check. Those guys were all in the mix. It’s nice that they have been identified district-wise.”

NPR has a blog post about the VGo robot pictured here at Memorial Field. From the story:
Rolled out (literally) in partnership with Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Center for Telehealth, the robot, called VGo, looks like a 4-foot-tall popsicle stick on wheels, with a screen and camera up top. It allows a brain specialist from miles away to help certified athletic trainers figure out if a player might have a concussion, and what should happen next.

Tweeting that he has committed to play football for Dartmouth is wide receiver Emmanuel Soto, a receiver from Fort Lauderdale's University School.Between the recruiting sites and news clips, it seems that he committed to Air Force Academy as a senior last spring and then had a change of heart while in Colorado. According to ESPN, which assigned him three stars, he had quite a list of offers including Purdue, Hawaii, Tulane and Central Florida. (LINK)
Earlier this week Soto Tweeted, "I believe in second chances. Stay tuned to find out where I will verbally commit to play football for the next four years!" On Wednesday he was back on Twitter: "Officially Committed to play football for the next four years at Dartmouth College!"
Soto is 6-foot, 6-1 or 6-2 depending on which service you believe and runs a 4.5 or a 4.85, again depending on which site you trust. Find his impressive highlight video HERE and a story where he mentions an offer from Cincinnati HERE.
