A heads up on what's coming down the road . . . me ;-).That Certain '14 finished the very intense Tuck Bridge Program on Friday. Interestingly, her group studied the Jolt Sensor, "a wearable head impact sensor for youth athletes." (LINK)
But I digress. She is starting a new job in a suburb of Madison, Wis., on Jan. 5, so one week from today the two of us will begin the drive to the Midwest. Barring ridiculous weather, we'll arrive around noon the second day and I'll help her settle into the apartment she is sharing with several Dartmouth classmates.
In a nice quirk of timing, Penn State basketball is opening the Big Ten season at Wisconsin the next day so we're hoping to catch the Badgers and Nittany Lions in a noon matinee – if we can land a couple of tickets at a reasonable price. Then the two of us will head toward Chicago, she to spend New Year's Eve with Dartmouth friends and me to hop on Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited. I'll be (hopefully) sound asleep on the train when the clock strikes midnight and arrive in Springfield, Mass., the next evening, where Mrs. BGA will pick me up.
That's the long way around to warning this electronic precinct could be going quiet for a few days around the holidays.
