Video Day

Check out this VIDEO look at Dartmouth football coach Buddy Teevens from the college's new football video series.

And check out this VIDEO of Memorial Field.
Speaking of Buddy Teevens, several emailers sent along links to a little trivia mentioning his name that was dug up with Bo Pelini moving from Nebraska to Youngstown State. From ESPN:

Not to "bury the lede," but an emailer asked a few days back about Dartmouth's spring football practice dates. Keeping in mind they are always fluid and probably more this year than ever because of the stadium construction, practice is slated to start on Tuesday, April 7 and conclude with the Green-White on Saturday, May 2.

The breakup banquet is Sunday, April 12.
I don't know if you can access this without a subscription but the local daily had a STORY last week asking the question:
"Who’s the only Dartmouth football player to receive votes for the Heisman Trophy ...?"
The answer: Bob MacLeod '39, a wingback from Glen Ellyn, Ill., who finished fourth in the 1938 voting. The winner that year was TCU quarterback Davey O'Brien with 519 points. He was followed by Pitt running back Marshall Goldberg (294 points), Columbia QB Sid Luckman (154) and MacLeod (78).

Griff loves his football . . .  although it helps that it sometimes spills dog cookies!
